BGS in Science and Mathematics

Currently, I am on the journey to complete a Bachelor of General Studies in Science and Mathematics. While I have changed my major and degree path multiple times since going back to school in 2019, I decided to complete my BGS in Science and Mathematics to become a teacher at the local high school. Not only does this allow me to pursue a career that I thoroughly enjoy, but it also allows me the ability to have more time with my family. I am currently working at the local high school in the Applied Skills department to prepare myself for the field. My current interests for teaching are mathematics, special education, and science courses. I have previously taught a Pathology and Physiology course at Indiana Therapeutic Massage School, completely revamping and customizing the curriculum to create a thorough understanding of how the body works and the applications of that knowledge to massage therapy. I am also an approved provider for the NCBTMB, teaching a course I created called "Body Mapping: Assisting Clients through Postural and Anatomical Analysis". My hope is that, with my previous experience in teaching and course creation, I will be able to share knowledge and insight while helping students to open new doors academically and professionally.
